Gregory Yanez, MD is fellowship trained in interventional pain management. He grew up in San Antonio, TX. He completed his B.A. at Princeton University in Princeton, NJ before attending Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, NY. Dr. Yanez completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He then went on to complete his Multidisciplinary Pain Medicine Fellowship at New York University Langone Medical Center in New York, NY.
Dr. Yanez partners with patients in forming an individualized comprehensive treatment approach including medication, physical therapy, minimally invasive procedures, neuromodulation, integrative and complementary approaches. He treats spinal stenosis, back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), headache, facial pain, pelvic pain, cancer related pain, and complex regional pain syndrome. His tailored approach to pain management aims to empower patients with solutions for addressing their chronic pain to improve their quality of life.
Dr. Yanez coordinates with patients’ existing health team regarding chronic pain treatment including: primary care doctor, spine surgeon, orthopedist, chiropractor, physical therapist, psychiatrist, neurologist, psychologist, OBGYN, urologist, or any other applicable practitioner — to ensure comprehensive care. For our Spanish speaking community, Dr. Yanez speaks Spanish.
In his free time, Dr. Yanez enjoys swimming, biking, and spending time with family and friends as well as his three dogs Bruno, Coco and Woody.
