Dr. Heath was raised in Stephenville, Texas. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University and a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston Campus. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Missouri at Columbia during 1981. He then joined the faculty at the University of Missouri at Columbia from 1981-1984. There, Dr. Health specialized in Adult and Pediatric Open Heart Surgery.
Shortly after that period, Dr. Heath moved to Abilene, Texas, where he helped to develop an Adult Open Heart Surgery Program. He then transitioned into Pain Medicine, and by 1993, he was a full-time Interventional Pain Management physician.
Outside of work, Dr. Heath is a diehard New York Yankees fan. He also enjoys British sports cars, Broadway musicals, good food, wine and, last but not least, dancing tango.
Dr. Heath specialized in Open Heart Surgery before he transitioned into Pain Medicine, and by 1993, he was a full-time Interventional Pain Management physician.
