Dr. Ronald Parris brings more than two decades of clinical experience to Pain Specialists of America, joining the team after successfully owning and operating his own medical practice for 20 years. He is deeply committed to patient-centered, compassionate care and is honored to serve the community of Bastrop, Texas.
Dr. Parris earned his Bachelor of Science from Morehouse College and completed his medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He trained in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Medical Center before completing advanced residency training in Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Chicago Hospital. He later pursued specialized training in Cardiovascular Anesthesiology at the internationally recognized Texas Heart Institute in Houston.
Driven by a passion for comprehensive and innovative pain care, Dr. Parris completed a prestigious fellowship in Pain Medicine at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, one of the nation’s leading institutions for complex cancer and non-cancer pain management.
With extensive experience spanning anesthesia, critical care, cardiovascular medicine, and interventional pain management, Dr. Parris offers his patients exceptional expertise supported by a long history of clinical leadership. He looks forward to helping individuals throughout Bastrop and the surrounding communities find relief, restore function, and return to the activities that bring meaning to their lives.
