Emily Cropper

Emily is a Texas-licensed and NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant, earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) PA Program in Edinburg, Texas in 2024. She also holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a focus in Forensic Genetics from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Fort Worth, Texas (2017–2019).

Her focused clinical training includes multidisciplinary pain management, neurology, psychiatry, and endocrinology. Emily has experience caring for patients with complex pain conditions, including neuropathic, musculoskeletal, visceral, psychogenic, post-surgical pain, chronic migraine, and fibromyalgia. These experiences reinforced her interest in neuroscience-informed, functional pain management and the mind-body connection in chronic pain.

Prior to clinical practice, Emily served as a Visiting Fellow in Forensic DNA Research and Analysis through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) at the FBI Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia (2019–2021). She co-authored four peer-reviewed publications in forensic and molecular genetics, contributing to research on genetic identification, DNA quantification accuracy, and forensic evidence analysis.

Emily is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, Central Texas PA Society, and Rio Grande Valley PA Society. She serves as a volunteer for two organizations supporting veterans and their physical and mental well-being; Vet Trip & Art and Soul.

Outside of medicine, Emily enjoys spending time with friends and family, adventuring with her dog, and participating in dog rescue and search-and-rescue volunteering. She has been involved in dance, performance, improv comedy, and has contributed to award-winning creative productions through her company, Marmalade Sky Motion Pictures. Emily also enjoys attending live theater and comedy shows, watching films, and hosting game nights. She values laughter, creativity, and meaningful connection—both in and outside of medicine.
