Arthur B. Boyd III, MD

Dr. Arthur Boyd III joins PSA from Hainesport, New Jersey, where he recently completed a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at North American Spine and Pain Medical Associates. His path to medicine was inspired by a strong interest in sports and human performance. A former collegiate football player at the University of Illinois, Dr. Boyd was invited to the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings rookie minicamp before ultimately choosing to pursue a career in medicine.

While excelling on the field, Dr. Boyd earned his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He went on to attend medical school at the Illinois College of Medicine, followed by two advanced degrees: a Master’s in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Illinois and a Master’s in Biology from Harvard University. His academic journey also included prestigious internships and fellowships with institutions such as the National Institutes of Health, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and Merck.

Dr. Boyd completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland, where he later served as an attending physician at MetroHealth Medical Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Boyd is committed to health equity and education. He regularly volunteers at health fairs and speaks at conferences about healthcare disparities. He has also presented research at the American College of Sports Medicine, including comparative studies on injuries among NCAA Division I and Division III football players.

His current clinical interests include musculoskeletal and spine health, interventional pain management, and expanding access to care for underserved communities.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Boyd enjoys staying active through regular workouts and spending time in nature, especially hiking and camping. He’s also passionate about discovering new music, trying different cuisines, and exploring cultures through travel.
