Dr. Steve Haake is a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician and fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Management specialist dedicated to restoring function and improving quality of life for patients suffering from acute and chronic pain. He currently practices with Pain Specialists of America in Georgetown, Texas, where he provides comprehensive, evidence-based pain care through advanced minimally invasive procedures and individualized multimodal treatment plans.
Dr. Haake completed his Interventional Pain Management fellowship at Florida Spine Institute, where he developed advanced expertise in image-guided spinal and peripheral procedures. His procedural focus includes radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine; intralaminar and transforaminal epidural steroid injections; sacroiliac joint injections; diagnostic medial branch blocks; spinal cord stimulator trials; ultrasound-guided joint injections; and the Intracept® procedure for vertebrogenic low back pain. He also integrates thoughtful pharmacologic management into a comprehensive treatment strategy tailored to each patient’s functional goals.
Prior to joining Pain Specialists of America, Dr. Haake worked as a hospitalist with Cleveland Clinic in Stuart, Florida. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas and a General Surgery Internship at Michigan State University. Dr. Haake is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM).
