
Don O. Williams, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Associate and Doctor of
Medical Science with nearly four decades of healthcare experience spanning military medicine,
primary care, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and veterans’ healthcare. Throughout his
career, he has built a reputation for clinical excellence, disciplined leadership, and a patient-
centered approach to delivering evidence-based care.
Dr. Williams began his medical career as a Combat Medic before advancing through the ranks as
an EMT, Licensed Practical Nurse, Flight Surgeon (Aero-Medical Physician Assistant), and
Battalion Surgeon. His military service instilled a commitment to excellence under pressure
while providing comprehensive care to service members in both garrison and operational
environments. Following his military career, he continued serving diverse patient populations in
family medicine, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and the Department of Veterans Affairs,
managing complex acute and chronic medical conditions.
Drawing upon this broad clinical foundation, Dr. Williams is transitioning into the specialty of
Pain Management. He brings extensive experience evaluating musculoskeletal disorders,
neurologic conditions, chronic disease, and functional impairment—skills that provide a strong
framework for comprehensive pain assessment and multimodal treatment planning. His
background in pulmonary and sleep medicine also offers valuable insight into opioid safety,
sleep disorders, respiratory risk assessment, and the management of patients with multiple
medical comorbidities.
Dr. Williams is committed to developing advanced expertise in interventional and
comprehensive pain management while emphasizing evidence-based medicine, functional
restoration, responsible opioid stewardship, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He believes
successful pain management extends beyond symptom relief to improving quality of life,
restoring function, and empowering patients to actively participate in their care.
